Karen Maj, (pronounced “My”) was born in Niagara Falls, NY.
She obtained her MLS and Graduate Certification in Archives from Wayne State University in Detroit.
In 2002 Karen came to Fresno County Library as Librarian and driver for Community Bookmobile.
Karen likes to mention that the “Library on Wheels” as she calls it has nearly 40 stops per month for all ages including senior facilities not only in Fresno, but in communities near schools and towns in the Valley and mountains.
Karen’s work has been published in a number of poetry journals, has read publicly in 4 states and has been published in Buffalo 2 years in a row for “Poetry on the Buses”. “The Moment” was published in a poetry journal called The Laughing Dog.
